Cary went above and beyond. Doesn’t everyone have that littl, diamond in the rough, mom and pop, restaurant or store or shop that is the best in the world but wildly underrated and not well known. That’s this boat shop. Amazing turn around time, amazing attention to detail, under priced, I can’t say enough great things ! Do yourself a favor and stop your search here.

Cary is AWESOME! Had Cary make some trailer modifications last summer, when my boat died, got a quote at the lake near by and they did not want to repair my boat, and quoted me high and then refused to do the service. Called Cary and he was happy to help! Made the repair, as well as some others while having the engine pulled and recommended so modifications to make my life easier (move if the batteries) asked about cleaning up the gel coat and some other small repairs. All for less than the lake shop said the parts were going to be….. Cary added in some bonus free items because he is proud of his work and wanted the boat to be like new when I picked it up. We I had some issues starting it up on the lake for the first time texted Cary and he helped me out and got me going! I won’t be taking my boat anywhere else!

Cary installed a 350 SB into our 1986 American Skier. He was very thorough, meticulous, and easy to work with. He kept me informed during the whole process including sending pics of any issues. He explained every detail. We would highly recommend Cary for any job big or small.

Met Carey and spoke with him about my needs and wants! Wanted to see how good he was with boat knowledge and being able to repair a few things on my boat! I am very impressed with his work and the time it took to get everything I asked done! Very professional and budget friendly!

FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'm mobile and survey vessels across Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee. I come to your boat wherever it sits, whether that's a marina, dry storage, or your driveway.

No. I focus solely on marine surveying and appraisals now. That keeps my inspections independent and unbiased, with no incentive to sell you repair work.

A full inspection of the hull, structure, systems, engines, and safety gear, plus a fair-market value, delivered as a detailed written report with photos you can use for negotiation, insurance, and financing.

A survey assesses the vessel's condition and safety. An appraisal establishes fair-market value for insurance, financing, donation, estate, or sale. I provide both.

Yes. Insurers and lenders often require a current condition survey, and I provide the documented report formatted for exactly what they need.

Most surveys take a few hours depending on the size and type of vessel. You'll receive a clear, documented report shortly after, typically within a couple of days.

Cost depends on the vessel's size, type, and the survey needed. Call (573) 979-3032 with the details and I'll give you a straight quote.

No. This is a mobile service with no shop drop-off. I come to your vessel's current location.

Serving Tennessee

Tennessee's boating runs along the Tennessee and Cumberland River systems, where TVA and Corps of Engineers dams created a chain of reservoirs across the state. Norris Lake in East Tennessee and Chickamauga Lake near Chattanooga draw large numbers of cruisers, pontoons, houseboats and bass boats. The long, warm boating season means many boats see heavy use and stay in the water for much of the year, while milder winters still bring the occasional hard freeze. Lakes along the Tennessee River system connect through locks, so some owners travel long distances by water. Boats bought here may have spent time on several lakes, or on the river itself, under more than one owner.

Why Tennessee customers need this work

A long season and steady use put hours on engines and wear on upholstery, canvas, decks and electrical systems. Boats that stay in the water much of the year need their bottoms, through-hulls and running gear checked, and older boats can hide moisture in cored decks and transoms. A survey documents all of that clearly, which helps a buyer negotiate and gives an insurer or lender the record they ask for. For insurance and financing, a current report also shows the boat's value and condition as it stands today.

Why Choose Your Mobile Marine Surveyor for Local services in Tennessee

Your Mobile Marine Surveyor brings pre-purchase surveys, condition and insurance surveys, appraisals and damage surveys to boat owners and buyers in Tennessee. The service is mobile, so the inspection happens where the boat is kept, from a lake marina to a storage building. Each survey is documented in a written report with photos that sellers, insurers and lenders can work from.

Tennessee customers choose us because we treat every project like it's our own — no upselling, no surprises, just straightforward work that gets the job done right.

Whether you live in Tennessee or just need a reliable team nearby, we're a short drive from Scott City and happy to walk you through every recommendation before any work begins.

I travel to the boat, so there is no need to haul it anywhere for the inspection. The work is surveys and appraisals only, with no repair business behind the findings, which keeps the report independent. Each survey covers the hull, structure, systems, engines and safety gear and comes with photos. Call (573) 979-3032 with the boat's details and where it is kept, and I will lay out the right survey and the next steps. Have the seller or marina confirm access ahead of time.
